End of Summer Reading
I'm always reading. It's a really basic thing for me. The problem is that while I read a lot, I don't read any of those old, think classics. I have tried but just never stuck with them. But of course, when school ended my English teacher I should read this book called Les Miserables which they read in a different English class.
Now it's about a month til school starts and I've finally gotten around to getting the book. But problems arose. 1. The book's already check out. 2. the book seems really really boring. *sigh*
I went and stacked some other great classics though. The Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (or something like that), a Hugo Victor book, and a Dickens book. Of course, I have my other odd assortment of whatever caught my eye in the library but otherwise,... those books are going to take forever to read.

I love sherlock holmes! As for les miserables, I like the story, but the book is so thick and starts slowly that i skipped some chapters intil it got interesting.
in short, i cheated. ;)
hunckback of notre dame (by victor hugo) was one of the best books i have ever read... besides having a super sad ending, of course. ;)
happy reading!

p.s. any hardy boys or nancy drews???
You could borrow a copy from us. It's an amazing story, you just have to get into it.
Not that I've ever read it or anything :-)I just know it's usually that way with long thick classics.
